Is there a difference between Java and Java script? Analyze

by: fresherlab on Date: Sat, 31 Jul 2010 Time: 9:28 AM

Java training
Java training courses cover all the fundamental aspects of Java, from the basic structure of a Java program to the creation of Java Swing objects. This Java training program will hand hold you through your initial steps and help you build a solid foundation for your future...
Java is a programming language originally developed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystems and released in 1995 as a core component of Sun Microsystems' Java platform. The language derives much of its syntax from C and C++ but has a simpler object model and fewer low-level facilities. Java applications are typically compiled to bytecode (class file) that can run on any Java Virtual Machine (JVM) regardless of computer architecture. Java is general-purpose, concurrent, class-based, and object-oriented, and is specifically designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible. It is intended to let application developers "write once, run anywhere".
A LARGE number of people have confusion between java and JavaScript. Many of us think it as a short form of JavaScript but they are actually two very different types of coding. JavaScript is an add-on script that enhances the performance or interaction of a website to its visitors. Java is like a small mini program in itself that is self contained and does special things.
JavaScript is a scripting language or a ‘block’ type language that will allow you to add real programming to your WebPages. It views commands as separate blocks of information, binds them together and then executes them.
Properties in JavaScript are known as ‘events’. These events cause an action to happen under certain circumstances or instances. They are based on ‘logical’ formulas. IF this is true then do this command. The formulas are based on a series of comparisons. JavaScript is intended to be a fast and simple language for enhancing web pages and servers. It is built into the browser to provide a simple means of adding interactivity to web pages. JavaScript is supported by all major browsers.
You can create small application type processes with JavaScript, like a calculator or a primitive game of some sort.
