Website navigation is an important part of the website so planning of it should be done from the beginning to attain a more effective result. Navigation should allow the visitors to know where they are, where to go and how to go back. All pages should provide visitor a sense of place i.e. he should be made understand that on which page he is on. Web navigation should have consistency throughout the website, a search box and a trail is precisely advised. A home page should have link to the various blocks on your website and should act as a link among them and will make it user-friendly. Moreover a link of the home page should also be provided on every single page. This facilitates the visitor to start Over again, in case he gets confused.

A site map is a page which provides links to almost all the pages on your website. This facilitates the visitor with an easiness to operate.
