(1 /4) What the FRICK w/ Algorithms?

You may be asking yourself....'What the heck is this algorithm marketers keep talking about?'

THE algorithms that marketing people, like me, are talking about are the social media algorithms that curate an individual's social media experience, the user experience (UX), using AI technology, and tracking.

How exactly do social media algorithms work?

One of the most important things to keep in mind is that the algorithms are DYNAMIC, not static.

They change daily, and also multiple times a day based on your specific usage.

They are operated by machine-learning/ AI technology which tries to curate the UX based on an individual's preferences by tracking what is engaged with and who the user engages with the most.

It's characterized by the relevancy to you, the individual.

The social media algorithms were put in place to sift through the amount of content that is created daily, to reduce that content to what the AI determines would be the 'most relevant to you to keep you on the platform.

It helps tailor your social media experience to the most beneficial to you based on AI technology.

Regarding your business content creation, it does affect your reach, especially short-form videos!

Content can go "viral" & have an extremely large reach… or it can also get trapped in a blind spot.

Understanding more about the algorithm means better visibility for your business!
