2. Complete the tools you need

To save time and effort, ensure that all the materials and tools you need are complete. Preparing all the equipment that you need beforehand, will make the entire process a lot easier. Some of the things you need to have in hand are drill bits, drive bits, tape measure, clamps, power drills, caulking gun, screws, etc. Check out your user guide to get a complete list of the materials you need to install the polycarbonate sheets correctly.

3. Read your user guide

Understanding and reading your user guide thoroughly before starting the installation is crucial. Be sure to fully understand every detail to avoid making mistakes and any accidents. In addition, you'll be able to save a lot of time and effort if you know what to do.

4. Prepare your materials

Before the installation, store your polycarbonate sheets in a dry and well-ventilated area. And be sure that the storage place is out of direct sunlight to avoid heat from damaging the sheets. Keep the polycarbonates out of contact with PVC, as well.

5. Getting your sheets ready

When preparing your sheets, don't forget to remove the masking film to prevent the film from sticking to the sheet when exposed to sunlight. When you are already in the cutting phase, it would be best if you use a cutter. Place the sheet on a flat surface to avoid scratching them when handling.

6. Check the structure

Be sure to check the structure before installing the polycarbonate sheets. Ensure that the structure is complete and appropriate for the polycarbonate sheet you chose. You also have to check all the materials and screws to see if they are suitable for the structure.

7. Installation

Once you’ve got everything you need, you can now proceed to the installation process. To do it correctly, refer to your user guide and carefully follow the instructions. Next, clean the sheets after the drilling process and remove any dust. Finally, check if all the screw caps are applied correctly.

After a long process, you can now see the beauty of your polycarbonate roof. If you have any sheets left, be sure to store them properly for future use. Wherever you decide to put your polycarbonate roofs, they will indeed protect the structure from all sorts of elements for many years to come. It might be a long process, but it should be worth it.
