Tip #6: Less IS MORE: Less Text In Images Is Better


  • People on Facebook and Instagram scan quickly.

  • In research conducted by the Mobile Marketing Association, it took 2–3 seconds for 2 out of 3 for people to see and cognitively recognize DESKTOP ADs vs 0.4 seconds on MOBILE.

  • Keep your text short, clear & concise to get your message across.

  • Facebook's research has found that images with less than 20% text perform better (NOTE: the FB Algorithm WILL restrict ad delivery if you use too much text).
