5 Resources for Quickly Clearing Out Business Vehicles

Every vehicle has a limited amount of time it can be used before it needs to be retired or replaced. The decision of when to do this differs for each business, but clearing out a vehicle can be relatively simple with the right resources.

When it's time to clear out a business vehicle, it's important to do so quickly and efficiently. The last thing you would want to encounter is for the process to take up too much of your time and energy. These five resources will help you quickly and easily clear your business vehicle.

1. A Local Junk Removal Service

This offers you a great option if you need to get rid of your vehicle quickly and don't have time to mess with selling it. Most junk removal services will come and pick up your vehicle for free and either recycle it or donate it to charity.

Be sure to research and find a reputable junk removal service. You can use sites like Yelp or Angie's List to find reviews of local businesses.

Once you've found a good junk removal service, call them and schedule a time for them to pick up your vehicle. Ensure you have all the paperwork ready so they can take care of everything for you.

2. A Local Scrapyard

When looking for a little bit of money for your vehicle, selling it to a scrapyard is a good option. Scrapyards will usually pay you by the pound, so the amount you'll get will depend on the size and weight of your vehicle.

To find a reputable scrapyard in your area, you can ask friends or family for recommendations or search online. Once you've found a few options, call them and ask about their prices.

Bring all the necessary paperwork when you take your vehicle to the scrapyard. They'll need proof of ownership to process the sale.

3. Shipping It To Another Country

If you have family or friends in another country willing to take your vehicle off your hands, shipping it to them is a great option. This is usually much cheaper than selling it locally, and you may even be able to get a tax deduction for donating the vehicle.

You'll need to find a reputable shipping company to ship your vehicle overseas. Once you've found a few options, get quotes from each and compare prices. Car shipping companies in New Jersey and other cities nationwide are readily available to give you a hand.

Ask about any additional fees associated with shipping your vehicle. These can include things like insurance, customs charges, and more.

Once you've found a company, you're happy with, schedule a time for them to pick up your vehicle and take care of all the paperwork.

4. A Local Auto Parts Store

When your vehicle is still in good condition, you may be able to sell it to a local auto parts store. They'll usually pay you based on the value of the parts they can salvage from your vehicle.

Different stores have different policies, so call around and ask about their procedures.

To find an auto parts store that buys vehicles, you can search online or ask for recommendations.

Carry all the necessary paperwork for sale with you when you go to drop off your vehicle.

5. Selling It Online

In case you're willing to put in a little effort, selling your vehicle online is a great option. You'll have more control over the price and who you sell it to, but it will take some time to list the vehicle and schedule test drives.

To sell your vehicle online, start by creating a listing on a site like Craigslist or AutoTrader. Always include plenty of pictures and all the relevant information potential buyers will want to know.

After your listing is live, start promoting it online and through word-of-mouth. You can also distribute flyers in public places like grocery stores or coffee shops.

These are just a few options for selling or disposing of an old vehicle. Be sure to do your research and choose the option that's right for you. Be sure to get rid of your old vehicle in a way that's safe and legal. Once you've done that, you'll be one step closer to getting a new one.
