I've clocked attendees moving at 65 mph past my booth!

Have you ever really watched how attendees walk through trade shows? Most of them move FAST! And they are just giving each booth a quick glance, not stopping and reading every word. It reminded me of how cars speed by billboards. Either driver can quickly get the full message from the billboard, or its like a forgettable blur. So how about your booth? 1) This week - Design Your Booth like a Billboard

Time to get people to stop at your booth instead of just walking past. One of the main reasons attendees just walk past booths of companies they don’t know is because they don’t know why they should stop.

Confusion is not a good marketing tactic!

When designing the graphics for your booth, think of it like a billboard, not a brochure.

But not just any billboard – an effective and memorable billboard!

  • When you pass a billboard you have a split second to capture the message. To be effective, it must be clear, concise, and memorable. You either got it or you didn’t.

  • Effective graphics that tell a story or show what you do

  • Minimal words that tell why or Benefit Statement

  • Clear Call to Action

When talking with attendees and they bring up one of your competitors, never talk down about their company or products. Instead, compliment them! Say something like, “They have a nice product, but let me tell you how we are different and better.” Focus on YOUR positives rather than their negatives.
